The Gift of a Peaceful Moment
A pretty view of the James River and something pretty to listen to from my ringers. Enjoy a few minutes of relaxation!
These are exciting times for the JoyBell Ringers. Two weeks ago, we were interviewed by our local paper, the Galax Gazette and tonight I had another interview for an article about homeschoolers and handbells that will appear in Overtones, the publication of the American Guild of English Handbell Ringers. Better get in lines, folks for our world tour!

Mud, Glorious, Mud!
ROAR-R-R-R!!! Jigsaw Puzzle
This is what happens to mild-mannered women who have had their fill of mud! One person asked the question, "Where's the mud?" To which I reply,
The one shot I took in the yard that does NOT have any mud in it! I had to practically lay on my back and shoot straight up to get it.
Some other changes around here that are all part of the master plan. Amy, these 2 shots are for you! I know you will be proud of us!

"Here."

Noah's Flood
I should be thankful that I don't have that much mud!
Today was a near massacre on the Gully Creek Trail hike at Cumberland Knob. I nearly killed the the two good women who were hiking with me (somehow they overlooked the stout "strenuous Trail" warning sign at the trail head. Then I nearly had to kill all the boys for running ahead and disregarding instructions. Today's hike was the final nail in the coffin for poor Corey's knee. So, out of 10 starters, only Alaina and I arrived unscathed.
