Musings from the Mayor of Mudville

Click to Mix and Solve

As you can see, there has been a little progress the last two weeks, but still no end of the mud in sight. In fact, the basement has been completely replastered with a fresh coating of mud by the fellas repairing the plumbing (damaged when they lifted the house with their forklift); and today, by the heating and AC guys.
So here's the progress notes:
The old driveway has been laid to rest in the race track. The bed for the replacement driveway has been graded to get rid of the tail- dragging steep pitch and covered in gravel.

The most dramatic change of all: The race track is now a bygone era!!!
The Hole has been filled with all the deconstruction debris and covered with the left-over mud . . .er . . .dirt.
Signs of hope for a more comfortable future!!
The Official Seal of the Mayor of Mudville!
Everything around here bears the Kitties' stamp of approval. (I refuse to post a picture of the toilet.)
So that's the news from Mudville, where all the shoes and kitty paws and workermen's boots, and our barefeet are a nice rosy red.

Tomorrow, I'm off for a week in Orlando for the 13th International Handbell Symposium with Rejoice and about 900 other ringers from all over the world.

I have to say I feel nostalgic about the "loss" of the race track. It is certainly a landmark among my childhood memories... I might feel better about this change if you install a guest cabin (like the river cabins) that would be an allergy-free (sorry, kitties) haven for me and my honey to stay in when we come to visit. But, if you did that, I don't know where you would have your legendary bonfires (my husband and my brother would both protest!), so you may have to put the guest cabin back in the woods...

Yeah, I agree with Amy....

Where else can I go when I get that special urge to go Pyro????

I suggest using the solid rubble remnants to construct a really speshull brimstone pit.....

Come on Charlotte, where will the Pyro-Bros play????

Glamm it and Flame it!!!

Make some nice stadium seating while you're at it....padded...my buns are getting tender in my old age...
Sigh,

Work it right, and you just might snatch the First Annual Fraktured Tiara Award my fellow Saltwater Shrews along The Bayfont Communities of The Shore Drive Corridor of Furginny Beach...We sure do love the way Mayor Meyera Obiedora keeps planting newly named Welcome signs for the touristas.

Go back to Atlantic City, NJ and decorate your own Boardwalk.

And the West Virginians??? Not pretty, still!!!

I wanna build myself a bonfire in your Race Track!!

Yeppers,

Camp McPhe needs to memorialize that sacred ground with a proper fireside counsel, er... Councill.

Big behind ye bowl shaped boulders to lounge around by the fireside with some yummy s'mores and Hot Chocolate....

Opening ceremonial with some ringers of joy required....
