Tie Dyed Jigsaw Puzzle
The Festival Slideshow is right here!
Yes, I know it was over a week ago, but I am STILL on cloud nine! To jump start the weekend, we played a really kick-(you know what) concert for a very small but amazed and appreciative audience at the Brookridge Retirement Village in Winston Salem. Maybe (if there is) a next time, they will actually publicize it and more people will be able to enjoy it.
After Brookridge and a fine dining experience at the Chick-Fil-A, we went to Bethabara Park for a little letterboxing and exploring. Here's a few pics for those of you who don't have time to watch the whole show:
We were treated to a private showing of the film in the visitor center, and then the director invited us back to play in the 1788 Gemeinhaus! I am thrilled to have that opportunity because it's such a unique venue and being at Bethabara helps me to feel connected to Amber through our shared appreciation of the Moravian culture.
After Bethabara, I gave the big kids a "shiny diner" experience, this time at the Billy Bob's Silver Diner. I will have to get some pictures from the kids because I just didn't get a camera out there. There was no jukebox, so Miss Kim and I didn't get to embarrass anybody this time.
And then, finally, we were off to the festival!
Here is the whole gang with Jason right after our private practice with him.
We had a little bedlam at the hotel (I told you they were amped up!)
I took the opportunity on Saturday to get in some practice with my pocket wizards and flashes, so you will see a whole character study of Jason in the slideshow.
Aren't our new shirts just the bee's knees!
